I just read the stamp on this book which I thought from eBay and looked up what library it was from and it was from a prison in Cambridgeshire. Well hey think about that, how about that

I gave up on this because I was so confused by who was narrating it, but now I’ve figured it out it’s really good !¡!

I feel so moved by this book that I can’t sleep. I feel like it’s so insightful to human nature and also illustrates so well the basis of a lot of phenomenology. I don’t know how it has bad reviews. I have only read half of it so I am writing this now in case I lose interest. It makes me feel as if all over books are only scratching the surface of consciousness, whereas this has gone the whole hog.

Berger says that 'photography does not deal in constructs' in terms of art being transferring the particular into the universal'. I think this is a mistake. In photography you manipulate light and framing to change the focus of a spectator, which is massively transformative to how we naturally view an event, just like a painter draws more attention to certain aspects of what they see more attention on certain lines.

I like the ocean loads but this taking ages! Very good but I have no attention and I’m flippant. It was very nice reading as there was a storm outside my hotel in Eastbourne. 🐋🐳

I really enjoyed reading a movable feast but this is just fine. It is very readable at least, but I suppose i'm just not interested in war. Maybe it will get better, I don't really feel like I am gaining anything from it beyond kind of wanting to go to Italy

Read 17 pages of this in the library near canary wharf if I dont come back to this library ill probably never finish it. It is useful for showing the madonna whore complex so hopefully I come back

Reading a book about female friendship feels incredibly exhilarating, it feels like having your own childhood opened up before you. I am sure to me and the majority of the gals I know female friendship was an invaluable medium for learning about the world, and where we would enter discussions that would form our personhood. Having this experience acknowledged is nice
