This was really a lovely book. Thought provoking in a quiet, gentle way. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates nature and wants to better understand the role(s) we play in it. And to anyone who considers the dung beetle an unsung hero.

This book was ridiculously entertaining. If only Graham-Smith had written the Bible, I might have paid more attention in Sunday school!

Yuck. I made it through 40 pages. That was more than enough.

This was fascinating. It would be sure to make you question the back story of any drug you've ever been prescribed.

Disappointing - only two words of the title are accurate: "mammoth" and "comics." "Best" and "horror" are questionable. Also, the jacket boasts "over 50 of the greatest..." while there are only 48 comics in the collection. Sad.

This book was a crazy, fun read. The quality of the writing? Questionable. But it was a real page-turner.

This was one of the most beautifully written books I've had the pleasure of reading. Yes, there was plenty of zombie nastiness, but even that can be wriiten well. Zombie fans are lucky Colson Whitehead turned his talents to the undead.
