Beginning box is a great bouncer. Despite a lot of the scenes being a a barb the author fails to show that he continues to excel at being a good bouncer. He is just there. I think it ruins the character a little because it's something that is extremely attractive about him is that he's such a great bouncer. He's given a moment to excel yet nothing is expressed of him truly excelling.
