I never stop reading a book out of boredom. Even if I hate it, I get through it. But I put this one down around 150 pages in.

To Michael Poore’s credit, this would make a great short-ish story, and there were a few funny bits of commentary. But he lost me once he got into fantasy territory and I’m positive that this would have benefited from being edited down.

I'm not sure what I expected, and while I found the narrator believable, she reminded me so much of a combination of people I know and strongly despise in real life that I found myself hating her. Which I suppose makes this a well written, clearly described story. But I couldn't sympathize with her as a protagonist and so badly wanted her to be out of my life, and felt relief upon finishing the book.
