There is such a clear and definite LOVE that the author has for this world they created. That love oozes from every chapter.

Huh. Well... the series title finally makes sense now (I guess).

If Cory's mom Emer is a "ceo corporate girl boss" type, then why is she saying that she grew up without money on a street with litter and trash everywhere?

What I love about Travis's book is that it is an entirely well thought out and rich fantasy world that does not rely on misogyny to feel real.

This book serves as an excellent example of why fantasy and the ill treatment of women do not, and never need to, go hand in hand.

This author seems to be a true ally. Wonderful storytelling.

I'm tempted to DNF after page 53 (conclusion of chapter 3 | 20%) because this is so dry & Isabel is implaccably boring.

There are many high ratings for this specific book, so maybe I'm just not the target audience even though I love philosophy. These things happen.

It's like someone read "Lolita" and thought to themselves, "Why isn't there more cannibalism in here?"

128 pages in, women only exist to be antagonists to the MMC or consumed--there are no dimensions to those characters. Plenty of male characters who are complex though...
