What a great book. What a great author. Everything I've read from Covey so far (and, I think, I'm on book 4) has been gold.

It's taking me awhile to get through this, probably because I'm not "putting first things first" very well :)

This book appears to be a great follow up for Habit 3: Put First Things First from "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People."

So far, somewhat good :)

I just finished Part 1: How to Achieve Primary Greatness. Next, Part 2: The 12 Levers of Success. They are: integrity, contribution, priority, sacrifice, service, responsibility, loyalty, reciprocity, diversity, learning, renewal, teaching.

I found his treatment of Romans 7-8 to be somewhat helpful.

A fairly good read so far: some good, some bad. Typical :)

The concept of "the secret life" and how to begin changing it by self-awareness, imagination, conscience, and independent will is powerful.

I'm eager to dive deeper into a key concept from "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People": primary greatness.

I'm not "sold" on some of the conclusions offering regarding Habit 5, Empathic Listening, but I am learning and intend to apply what I've learned in my life.

I'm listening on Audible. It's fascinating. Learning more about Chinese and Indian history has been the most interesting to me so far.

I have found a "fourth-generation time management tool" (as recommended by Covey) in the Bullet Journal. Covey's recommendations for weekly planning are a gamechanger for me.

So far, this book has discussed (1) what makes marriages fail (the so-called "four horsemen" of failed marriages) and (2) love maps, a key principle to making marriages work.

I'm loving this read-through. Excellent stuff.

I listened to this on Audible in January, and I decided to get and read the Kindle edition. I'm glad I am doing so; there are some things that hit different in that format.

Wow...I wish I had read this before or at the beginning of my marriage. This is definitely something I will be recommending to every couple that might be open to it.

I read section 3 about repairing relationships due to personal difficulties and found it so valuable that I am going back to the beginning to read the entire book. This on the heels of reading Peterson's marriage advice in Chapter 10 of "Beyond Order" (Plan and Work Diligently to Maintain the Romance in Your Relationship), the essential element of which was *negotiation*.

It's hard to slog through some of these writings. I'm currently on the Sibylline Oracles and very much looking forward to the Testaments.
