Just reached the part I’ve been dreading since starting this book. I don’t like it! Literally crying at words on paper for the second time in this book series. 😭💔 Why did I have to get attached to that character?! 🙈

Also spice scene warning for the end of both chapters 29 and 30.

Happy to be back reading a John Green book for the first time in almost a decade. And we’re already off to an interesting start. The end of chapter three. 👀 I have mixed feelings, but a part of me liked what Kai said. It honestly made sense to a point.

Also loving coach Dean, and how the coach he’s assisting sees his teaching talent and was talking to Allie when he got to meet her about encouraging him to pursue that as his career instead of becoming a lawyer. Such a sweet moment. 💙

There was also another spicy moment to skip over at the end of chapter 28 too as a heads up.

Not that semi spice scene at the end of chapter 23 that happened when Dean thought Beau was asleep and he wasn’t. Poor, Beau. And I finally read “call Dean”, which honestly wasn’t what I was expecting to happen like it did, but it was still a good scene. Both Hannah & Garrett’s reactions were priceless. And I loved seeing Garrett protective of Allie & the friend group as a whole.

And again with the heavier spice scene at the end of chapter 22. Kinda loved Dean meeting Allie’s dad though. Even if it didn’t go the smoothest, and he’s obviously judging Dean off his status, which I don’t like at all. Don’t be judging anyone based on whether they do or don’t have money. That’s not going to determine their character in a crisis.

The tension between Dean and O’Shea makes so much sense now with that backstory we finally got. But in all honesty that situation was bad to begin with. Allie was right, he never should have dated the coaches daughter. And being 17 and not able to communicate correctly at that point didn’t help matters.

The drama is officially starting to hit. That last scene with Allie and Sean. 🙈 And Dean getting himself thrown out of the game. 👀 Both of y’all need to just start communicating already!!

And another scene to skip if you want to avoid the spicy moments is at the end of chapter 18. Just a little heads up as per usual for the no spice readers like myself.

I can see them starting to fall for each other more. Dean being more obvious about it, and Allie definitely fighting with herself to not admit her feelings are changing. 👀

Also end of chapters 16 and beginning of 17 have spice scenes you can skip over if you want to. That’s still my only thing about this book I’m not loving. This feels like the most spice heavy of the series so far.

A few spicier moments in chapter 11, and two skippable scenes at the end of chapter 13 and the beginning of 14. The first real spice scenes of the book. Just a heads up once again for my fellow non-spice readers.

It’s the way I’m anxious reading this since I saw THAT spoiler before I’d even started it. I’m not ready! 🙈💔

Feels like the equivalent of looking for a light switch in a dark room, and stumbling around trying to find it right before eventually being able to turn the light on and then being temporarily blinded by it. Bracing my emotions for impact.

He’s still not my favorite of all the guys, but Dean with these little kids he’s coaching is kinda adorable.

Leave it to Dean’s book to have a spice scene in flipping chapter two. 😂🙈 Welp, the skimming over scenes is starting early in this one. 💁🏻‍♀️

Spoiler-ish (I guess)

The best friend in this is so 2000’s romcom coded and I love her. She’s just going along with her best friend telling her she was in an alternate universe of her childhood selves making for two weeks and her response is basically “if you’re sure it happened, then it happened.” Doesn’t question if it was from the fall the night before, she just rolls with it. 👌🏼💯

The way this dang book has me smiling so big while reading it! I’ve missed this feeling while reading romcoms lately. These two have completely stolen my heart. 🥰💙🙃☺️

And we just now hit the first real spicier scene 200+ pages in. If you want to skim over it too, it’s around 206-209, at least according to my kindle. It’s chapter 27.

It’s official, I love Logan and Grace together! They are far too adorable for their own good. 🥰🫠💙

Not blue roses being one of the items Grace put on her list when that’s always been my favorite flowers. I knew I was gonna love this book going into it, but wasn’t expecting to have this much fun with it. 🙃 Also loved Tucker and Garrett messing with Logan about his poem. 😂👏🏼
