The best thing the author does is not exaggerate or over dramatise things, rather presents the grand story very almost matter of fact. It does the trick! I loved every bit of it, it is a real page turner. A very sincere retelling of an epic! 10/10

Picked up after an year. Quite enthralling. Part ethnographical study part magical realism.

Its a romp! Perhaps Indian history lends itself naturally to the magical realism of Rushdie.

Quite dreary. And the way it presents a beingn picture of colonial history over natives, is quite something! So

It has become a bit belaboured by this point. The same 3-4 points being repeated ad nauseum : Carbon tax, Compensate Carbon more on the side of caution, polluter pays principle etc
