Almost half way through and at last there has been a murder, up to now everything has been speculative. saying that it is no less interesting, Donna Leon definitely knows her Venice. I was told on my first visit to Venice to look for a bistro or trattoria the city side of the Rialto Bridge,so that you do not get ripped off. I notice that both Brunetti and Vianello do the same.

I know Whitby quite well, also Harrogate and Leeds, so I can relate to the narrative, but I am not getting the same excitement (if that is the right word), as I did in his previous books.I will persevere, perhaps it will get better.

Could not finish, predictable and boring . Disgarded

I have read Ann Cleeves Vera and Shetland series and enjoyed them all. I can't say that I am enjoying this books much as yet and I am almost halfway through, more later.

Got bored with it
