Excessive use of the word “murmured.” Really hating it, it’s like nails on a chalkboard at this point.

I want to like it. So far it reads like YA, and not in a good way-a lot of “telling” and preaching.

Just finished the short story section. The title story is my favorite, so quirky and clever.

248-Possibly the worst book I’ve ever read. The writing is horrible, I feel like I’m reading the author’s random notes from research sloppily gathered into topics for chapters. Why did I have to read so many pages about Todd genealogy and the founding of Lexington and yet there’s a PARAGRAPH about Lincoln’s assassination?! There’s not even a mention about the other murder plots of that evening.

DNF-kept waiting for it to get interesting but ultimately realized I didn’t like the characters and didn’t care what happened to them.

Another Boohoo book by this author. Given to me by a friend so I feel obligated to read it.

Ugh so weighty...the imagery is good but the dialogue is awkward and the characters lack dimension.

Easy simple read but I'm waiting for the epiphany.

So far, I am disappointed. The tone of the book reads like an irritated old man who thinks he is funny. The book does not compare well to Adulting, a good book with the same general subject.
