Moving past my ready slump. 300 pages in a week. Most I've read in ages. 😂 Hopefully this streak continues and I actually finish multiple books this year. 😂

Progress has been slow. Took a while to getting into the characters and less than 1/3 way in starting to build up a bit.

I don't know why, but I'm finding it really hard to get into this one. And I'm usually a devourer of Shannon's work. I know it's still early in the book, but none of the characters are jelling with me as yet, which I think is part of the struggle.

Chapter 19

Isn't it weird, when re-reading a book, how over time you memory has perceived how things go in the book. There are certain event I swear happened sooner in the book, which I have still yet to reach...

Also I remember everytime why this book is my least liked of the series.

A new portal opens and thanks to the FF, the Hulk may return to where he doesn't want to go, but it is where he is needed to be.

Chapter 8...new pathways open

What is it with manga and the fetishisation of girls underwear... Really makes me feel icky 🤢

Since every single book I read as of late... No matter how much I have previously anticipated reading them... I have put back down because my brain just can't get through anything new at the moment.

So to alleviate this feeling and still try to enjoy reading, I have once again chosen to retread in my library of read books and pick up an old favourite.

Alan Moore can be brilliant in his writing, but like now, he is writing some convoluted drivel between some good character moments.

The is great though. I must wish it wasn't limited by the printing process of it's time.

Wow. What a read so far!

Forna can certainly write a fast paced read. Knows how and when to stretch out the story and bring full fold again and speed it along.

Haven't much time to read as of late.

But this is kicking off to a great start.

Abigail is always a breath of fresh air when she appears in the main series. And following her antics in her is an adventure of itself!

In a MASSIVE reading slump these past few months... I have only barely been able to read my week comic releases...

So I have decided to retread on old grounds and read a book I am familiar with. It's going slower than expected, but reading something I have already read is certainly easier on my brain atm.
