On a logic level I get why Maia did it, but something still feels off to me about a straight girl pretending to be a gay guy. I didn't mind her disguise at all before but that really just felt off to me. Because pretending to be a boy is necessary for her survival but pretending to be gay is... about making a friend that doesn't flirt with her. and ofc being in love.
