Really well researched, big up Birmingham but just not floating my boat xx

Got to p48, lost interest, similar experience to a lot of the reviews, listing every gun contract in the 18th century, no discussion about the role of guns in the empire etc. Reviews seem to think it gets better at chapter 6, let's dive in

Doesn't seem to have that much of a plot. More of a rant than a novel.
