Nothing has happened yet. This might be a dnf very soon

So far, I'm not in love with it but am willing to not dnf for another 30 pages or so....

For every good book I try, I end up DNF'ing at least 3 books. We shall see which side this one ends up on!

Finally an author that is so good at pacing and plot and characters!! It's so good I can't put it down!! Yay!!!

I'm not a sci-fi fan.
The book is okay but I'm surprised at the popularity. I can see why this was made into a movie. The author put every movement and detail in here so it's quite slow.

I'm shocked this book has so much hype??? I mean, it's not terrible, but it's not good. I am having to suspend a LOT of disbelief 🫢. I don't hate it but I'm not like EVERYONE GO READ THIS. Maybe when done I'll feel that way!??

Insomnia comes in handy for book-reading time. Also, just dug a bit deeper about the author and found that he went on a right wing podcast and talked shit about Star Trek and it's social commentary. People are pretty pissed it seems because Star Trek's whole point was the social commentary. He might be getting JK Rowling'ed!!

Do I like this? It's not what I expected...

Why are fantasy books SOOOO SLOOWWW!? I so want to love them but man they make it tough. Are there books for impatient fantasy lovers out there? DNF'ing this one 100 pages in too.

Very repetitive. Says the same thing over and over. Repeats. Just like those 3 sentences. Ugh. I'll keep going only because I like the inn and am curious about it.

Okay nothing is happening. I'm skimming, and that's a bad sign. Moving on to something else

Honestly, this is so fun so far! I hope it stays this good!

When I first started this series, I would gobble up a book in one day. The last 2-3 books have me less enthused. They feel so much slower. This one is okay but not as good as books 1-8!!!

Not my usual fare: teenie-bopper romance-ish cozy fantasy. Fun to listen to while I'm unpacking boxes and decorating the new house tho!

Terrible figurative language --awful similes and metaphors. Repetitive descriptions of situations. I do feel like the author was told to make each scene longer so it would be long enough to be a whole book instead of a novella!

But cute enough to keep listening.

The New York public library picked this as the summer read so I thought I'd join in, but already this shit might be too weird for me...

Rarely have I ever read a character written so well as Mabel. I have no idea how this book will end but it has absolutely sucked me in!

Read this one and skip the audiobook. The narrator is terrible. Story us super interesting tho.
