Soooooo struggling with the repetitiveness of this book

This book is so fucking campy in all the right ways I love it

If this were my house I'd be getting the cops to come drag the little girl out of the basement LOL

Loving all the hard-core gothic influences (Poe, Jackson, Lovecraft)!

The author drips just enough information at just the right times to keep you interested, yet still guessing. A book full of carrots-on-sticks! Love!

Main character? Arrogant prick. Setting? Gorgeous. Writing style? Masterful. I am in love!

I'm trying my hardest to look past the boring prose, but it is getting so difficult. I don't mind charactors that are unlikable, but they need to at least be well written. It is really confusing when a charactor is so poorly written that you dont know if they are supposed to be unlikable or not. (Cough, cough, the mom)

Even though Margaret Atwood has been reccomended to me over and over again (by friends, family, tiktok, society in general) I still feel like she has been gatekept from me... How come I've never read her works before now?? Wtf? I am in love.

Gillian Flynn is like a small town gossip girl telling you all the pathetic, cruel, gross, and morbid details of her charactors in such a way that you are both mesmerized and disgusted. I am in love

Okay so objectively this books is bad (the "witty" banter needs to STOP), but it is comical af and im having a really good time lol

Dolls are scary... Artifically intelligent dolls are scarier :-(

Finally figuring out that the point of all this pointless violence is, in fact, its pointlessness

Ah yes, McCarthy's famous run-on sentences and complete disregard for punctuation. I find it hypnotic and I'm in love.
