I'm trying my hardest to look past the boring prose, but it is getting so difficult. I don't mind charactors that are unlikable, but they need to at least be well written. It is really confusing when a charactor is so poorly written that you dont know if they are supposed to be unlikable or not. (Cough, cough, the mom)

Even though Margaret Atwood has been reccomended to me over and over again (by friends, family, tiktok, society in general) I still feel like she has been gatekept from me... How come I've never read her works before now?? Wtf? I am in love.

Gillian Flynn is like a small town gossip girl telling you all the pathetic, cruel, gross, and morbid details of her charactors in such a way that you are both mesmerized and disgusted. I am in love
