It only gets better from where the anime ends.

Roadtrips are great for making progress on audiobooks. Also, while I doubt it'll become an all-time favorite, I'm still really enjoying this one and I'm excited to see where the rest of it goes.

I promise I’m not fudging the number — I got home from my road trip and this is what it was at. XD

Listened during the first part of the road trip, and not sure if I’ll continue. It was interesting enough until we met the one female character, and this previously-PG book went to “Oh, grumbly old main character man, I’d never had an orgasm before, but that one time you touched my cheek was better than any sex I’d had”, followed up with him invasive questions about her sex life 😬

Gosh, it’s really subtle, but I think there might be lesbianism in this book. Just… just a possibility

(Okay, seriously, it’s already far more blatant about it than I expected it to be. XD)

Short one, but I’m listening to it on and off depending on how I’m feeling.

I’ve gotta say, Van Helsing as a character was not who I expected him to be from modern pop culture. XD

When I have a lot on my mind, I stop listening to audiobooks for a bit so I can use my driving time as thinking time.

…I’ve had a lot on my mind lately.

I started listening to this to get caught up on Dracula Daily, but then I was all “eh, why not” and kept on pats that point anyway. XD

Apparently I had pretty apt timing in reading this one, considering it involves a society who absolutely can’t stand face-to-face interaction due to germs and such and vastly prefers to always stay in isolation and videoconference each other instead.

Also I want Solarian society to burn to the ground but I have the feeling this book won’t give me that. :p

At this point is a story about people trying to horny their king to death. Not making this up. ><

All the wordplay and clever writing is even more impressive considering this is a translation. :O

I was listening to the audiobook version, but for a while I had enough on my mind that I couldn’t really pay attention to the book and drive at the same time. I’m back to being able to listen to audiobooks again, so this continues. :3

“Post-apocalyptic lesbian pirate romance” was a hell of an elevator pitch.
