The level of detail is staggering but the florid descriptions of his work and vitriolic description on anyone who crossed the actor are eventually wearying. Some of the details about the acting scene in 50s-70s England are diverting. I gave up.

Genuinely depressing look at the immediate aftermath of the abdication to the murders. Fascinating analysis of the responses of European royal houses to the imprisonment of their relatives in the face of anti-monarchist sentiments.

FASCINATING look at the lives of women leading military endeavors. Looks at the history and the mythology involved. Includes deliciously dry asides in parentheses.
