another year another goodreads reading challenge complete!
39 (not 40) books for 2025

my top five were:
1., atlas shrugged, ayn rand
2., big little lies, liane moriarty
3., gone girl, gillian flynn
4., playground, richard powers
5., sea of tranquility, emily st.john mandel

halfway through atlas shrugged and feeling obligated to do a midpoint review. so far enthralled. ayn rand, whether you like her or not, is very compelling. ofc can be preachy, over the top, unrealistic… but. she makes me really question our gen’s popular opinion critique of capitalism. resonating with some of objectivism, not all. that’s important to note.

hi friends 🩷 have been talking to nat about how i struggle to read fantasy now. does anyone have any good recs that have both entertainment value AND good writing? i want something that is hard for me to put down…
