i'm reading this mostly on autopilot; its inoffensive, and i enjoy it just enough to keep reading, but i wonder what the point of this book is. and if i can't see any meaning a book may bring into my life, its hard for me to feel like its worth continuing to read...

this is where i realise that reading a whole book about smth summed up in a good essay is gonna have parts that are skimmable and also non fic does not operate with the same rules as fic and so you are allowed to do just that hooray!

not ready for this to be over.. i love picking this up and receiving a nugget of wisdom and peace whenever i need it

reading this book is a revelation
i just keep highlighting and going "woah" and changing my perspectives on life its crazy

when you shift your perspective from having to choose how to spend time to getting to
woah

just makes me feel so warm and hopeful about the state of the world

most of my annotations are just "BROOOO SO TRUEEEEE AND REALLLLLLL"
im reading this at the perfect time and that has me euphoric

I LOVE THIS IT FILLS ME WITH A WARM FUZZY FEELING I LOVE THEIR VOICE

i love classics i love thinking and contemplating and learning

i don't know if the right way to read poetry is to look up an explanation after each poem but i'm a noob at this so we move!!!

so far after a chapter: beautiful yet restrained writing; love how the author carefully picks the right words to string together as sentences, so easy to imagine the scenes in the book, as if it were a movie
also too uncomfortably real. i love and hate how books written 50 years ago can tap into emotions you felt were unique to you with such eloquence
