I think one of the main things that bothers me about this book is the kind of... distance the action has from the readers. I'm sure it's intentional, but it makes it feel less immersive. Like *every* chapter starts with a mini flashback scene to catch us up before continuing.

Almost halfway thru before hearing the n word. This might be a new record.

Getting increasingly annoyed with the prose.

I am not at all taken by the prose. But I will persist.

Oh no not the uncritical mention of ABA.

Other than that this is an easy read, and I like that it's a practical guide. I'm definitely going to implement the vestibular exercises and other practical advice here.
