So far, I didn’t like the pairing of Kate and Torri. I preferred Kate’s partner to be a challenging fit guy (preferably handsome). Torri is no way appealing. :-/

Darcy... of course, the all-American boy, white, blue eye blond rich and straight is the criminal. A pattern with this author. And many others nowadays.

Maybe Allan was the one who shot Kate’s door and someone found out his murder plans and killed him to protect her.

It’s boring. Reminds me of why I don’t enjoy war stories.

Ok so the toxicological exam existed and they did it.

Didn’t the police do any toxicology test to determine possible toxic substances ingested by the victim? Didn’t they do this procedure back then?

What if the defense attorney call Ed Taylor as a witness? Hahaha that would enhance the dramatics in this already dramatic story.

I think the murderer slipped on his victim’s pool of blood and instantly supported himself on the hand which held the knife, thus got the almost severed hand.

Of course the defense attorney is going to out Kate in order to use her lesbianism to diminishing her investigative work as though she’s blindsided by taking this crime personally.

Hilarious! I guess the this is the funniest book ever written by KGM.

Loving every part of this book. Just which there would have more Aimee scenes.

Amazingly written. Probably fruit of thorough research. Kate’s thoughts, assumptions and explanations for the reader of what and why she’s gonna say or do are perfectly, orderly revealed. The pacing never gets boring. This author is magnificent.

Why dos the detectives ask where Kyle got the towels right after he cut himself by the dumpster? Did he conveniently had towels with him outside?

What if the Latino guy, Francisco... his arms covered his midsection, maybe because of some cut there. And he shuddered because of lack of drugs ?

My suspicions are that the murder is white, like the pattern in all of this author’s books... and since the last two books the criminals were female, here I point that they’d be male. Male, white, rich.
