God I hate this book

This book. Is scary. Very scary.

The narrator for Anna is spot on. And by that, I mean like listening to a female, British Napoleon Dynamite be a constant Karen. It’s awful but I love it.

the only books I’ve been reading lately have been glorified marshmallow fluff and it’s really bringing me down. but let’s be real- the books I usually read aren’t exactly Sunday afternoon breeze-throughs so maybe some marshmallow fluff will be good for me.

How could anyone read this collection chronologically? I’m skipping around again in this one today, and oh how beautiful his poetry is.

This book continues to vacillate from pretty and thoughtful to sexuality, which I do not understand. It comes out of the blue with little context, and I’m getting a little tired of the overly detailed descriptions, that, I’m sorry, make little sense. More in final review.

This book is a pendulum of relatable and cringe.

Mean Girl-ish... from a boy’s point of view. It’s a little off-putting when the author explains in the introduction that the book is terrible because he’s not a writer, he’s a filmmaker, but that he switched to books after he botched a movie. Maybe that’s all part of the book and I’m not getting it yet.

Don’t be fooled: I’m definitely reading this with the sole intention of hating and judging it. Unfortunately, it seems to be better than the last installment.

The biggest con of this book so far is how unexpectedly depressing it is. Not-spoiler alert: Josh gets n o n e of the girls thus far.

Picked up significantly. It's hard to read because it's so real, but it's hard to put it down because it's so raw.
