this book is interesting because it's dystopian in a society where a pro-life vs pro-choice civil war has led to the Worst Case Scenario for literally everyone, but it doesn't seem to take a stance at first. you're just left to sit with complex & messy feelings about what gives a meaning to life and what it means to be whole. as a story, it's SO good, but i'm still not sure what message it's projecting yet!!
