Because it’s written as a YA detective novel it’s been a very quick read. If you’ve ever read any of Parker’s Spenser books you will enjoy the way the dialogue and storyline play out. The main character Terry could really be young Spenser and Abby, young Susan.

I’m really enjoying this book! It’s a great companion book to the Fable series. I like seeing a different perspective of the same world. The Roth family is so interesting and there are so many layers to all of the characters. This is the third book I’ve read by Ms Young and her description and story telling transports the reader into the world of Bastian and The Narrows.

I’m really enjoying this book! It is different from the style of most murder mysteries. It’s intriguing but not scary and has a little bit of comedy thrown in every now and then.
