really interesting book so far. especially this quote: "What can you expect from people back then when even today, in our era, somewhere deep inside, in the furry depths, you can still hear the wilds echos of apes?"

kuang loves dragging shit on, enough over-explaining we get it...

this is the fifth kuang book imve started. still not obsessed with her style of story progression as it feels like the characters just snap their fingers and things just happen.

pretty hooked so far, reminds me a bit of war and peace which kinda makes me wanna reread it lol

chapter 11 was so boring. stop it with the history lesson and get on with the story wilde 😔

LB's lucky she's such a good writer cause some of these chapters are so bizarre i feel like i'm not even reading English...

this is dark academia on steroids. i'm liking it a lot so far

it's well written and suspenseful so far. my only complaint are the questionable metaphors/similes that literally make no sense, but imma just ignore that for now
