Pip from the future is going to Rahul school. They need to find a way to back. Also, having a bot in the image of the child and the parents mistakenly save the bot instead of the child is creepy and tragic.

Future kid open a portal that connects to the present. Literally in the toilet. Kids throw things in toilet for whatever reason. This is a cross culture occurrence.

It started off horribly. There is a woman, Chimatsu Yukimura, who comes to the cafe once a week. She is odd and believes that she met someone in her past life.

I hate characters who believe in past lives. It is bs. This is going to be a one-star read if this continues.

Gyoza - A man who has been cheating on his girlfriend with a woman. He was at university and dated a woman. The woman didn't know he was engaged. She brought him home, and the parents treated him as the future son-in-law. The last meal he had with her parents was gyoza. He is now married but not happy.

This man is selfish. Yet the readers are supposed to be sympathetic.

Yakisoba - a pianist loves a man. As she is talented, she cannot escape her parents. So she harmed herself to stop the path of becoming a performer. She wants to eat the noodles the man she loves has made for her. It is a story about longing.

It sounds boring. Until there is an attack on the castle. She found some gas bottles, commonly use for hotpot in the house. As compressed gas would explode when burn. She contribute to the fight instead of being completely useless. There is some redeemable quality instead of being a helpless girl dictated by someone else decision.

The story is about a young girl, she was living with her uncle. When there is an order to ask her uncle to sacrifice his daughter as an offering to a demon, he sent her instead. She arrived at a castle and having the best time as the future lady of the house. The demon lord wears a mask and is a teenager, a few years older.

Lord Branfoot is horrible. Kim switching side is no surprise but still disappointing. She is also horrible. Kim betrayed Strike and Robin by using what she knew about the client to blackmail them. It sounds like she is confident that she could ruin the agency. All is not loss when Strike found out something important.

Kim is a horrible character. Her ex was a married man. His ex wife blamed Kim. Of course. Then she used his ex to get sympathy from Strike and try to come on him, again. Strike makes a stand.

Murphy is blaming Robin for what Kim has done. He is supposed to love Robin and they were house hunting. Why wouldn’t he be on Robin’s side and see this from her perspective.

Robin finds out why the man the agency had been following keep riding the Central line and going no where.

Jim Todd is not a train enthusiast.

That’s also why diverse team being better result. Robin observes something that her male colleagues didn’t pick up.

Bijou Watkins character represents real women that I had a hard time being friend with. Dating married men or men already in long term relationship. And do things to manipulate the man to leave the wife and be with them. Selfish. Shallow and full of….

I hate characters like this. That is also why I hate romance with love triangle. These books are rubbish.

Stans is a legendary hitman. One day, he quit being a hitman. Reason? He falls for a young singer in a group and become a fan. A super fan. He feels that his hands are dirty as he killed so many. So he quits. The story is about him changing his habit and working as a food delivery guy. To earn money to support his idol. He wants to earn clean money for buying idol merchandise.

Bijou is a terrible person. She has dragged Strike into her mess.

One day, a young man, his own age came looking for his father. It turns out that they are half brother. What should a young man do when a half brother shows up at his door steps and ask for help.

Dominic Culpepper, reporter, angry at Strike. It is not Strike’s fault that his wife js caught cheating. Strike is not even following her. It is her lover that Strike has followed. Why the angry? There will be more gossip news as Strike got famous exes.

Liberty is a beautiful shopping mall. Wooden floors and big brands. Strike is following someone and Robin suggest him to buy gifts there. I’m with Strike on this as I am clueless on the gift buying. I get practical stuff for people I care about.

Strike guessed Robin see the “so sexy” text from
Kim. He defuse it by asking Robin what she thinks of her personally. And then add own negative take on her. That makes Robin feels better.

Robin should have been honest with herself that she care a lot about what Strike thinks of Kim and if they have a chance with each other.

Why is clear communication so difficult for Strike and Robin? They are very effective communicators in all other circumstances. Robin is sitting alone in a pub thinking about the “so sexy” text Strike got from Kim. Strike is thinking about Robin and Murphy moving in together.

Just don’t get it. I hate miscommunication as a plot device in any book. Probably why most romance books pissed me off so much.

Unwanted texting from coworker is so annoying. Strike got sexy message from Kim. Inappropriate behaviour. Unprofessional. It also cause misunderstanding between Strike and Robin.
