Slow, a little distastefully vulgar for my taste, but still good world building.

Okay so did anyone else know that The Wizard of Oz can be read as political satire??? Look into it. My jaw is on the floor. 💚

This book puts into words much of what I think about all the time. I believe so many questions can be answered by analyzing our origin. Reading about that for our entire species is gripping.

I’m on the religion chapter right now. So. Many. Thoughts. Please read this book and talk about it w me ♥️

Like reading Didion’s journal. Raw and full of her mind and outlook. Beautifully written and just so sad.

Sarah Curd is on page 71 of 256 of Attached to God: A Practical Guide to Deeper Spiritual Experience
The more I learn about attachment science, the more I come to understand the love that I was created for.

This book reminds me of the safety, peace, and joy that’s found in knowing God.

Even when anyone or anything on this side of heaven wounds us, it is possible to develop a secure attachment with the Lord.

“In your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Gothic and October-ish. It’s a slow start, but even still, I’m already feeling attached to Heathcliff and Catherine.

Chapter 26 of this novel is one of the best moments I’ve ever read. The Neapolitan series is making me connect to women and their struggles more deeply throughout time. It makes me think of the women I respect, love, and treasure most. I want everyone to read these books so I can discuss Ferrante’s work with them. So rich, enchanting, beautiful, and haunting, filled with punches and truth expressed artfully.

Nothing revolutionary yet, but I’m learning good art history and hearing Ramsey’s reflections about how these things connect to the gospel. This one came highly recommended by a friend, and she said she often thought of me when reading it, which I’m honored to hear due to the topic of the book alone! It’s making me want to write down more of my fleeting thoughts about how art connects to biblical truth.
