structure/pacing are a bit clunky but this is interesting so far

i’m curious to see where this goes because so far I think this one is my least favorite book in the 2 trilogies

I hope I can focus more on this book in the next few days to really immerse myself in it because so far I haven’t really been doing that and I feel like it’s more my own fault than the book’s 🙃

idk if and what Nora’s been writing in between the trilogy and this book, also don’t know what the publication process has been for this—did someone edit/proofread?—but her writing has kind of improved but also not really?

I just finished reading a book for the first time in almost two years. Life has been chaotic and I need to catch up on releases and see what I’ve missed. I’d forgotten how much I like browsing through this website and adding an unrealistic amount of books to my tbr 🙃

this is probably really good but there are so many characters and things to remember, and the kindle format doesn’t make it easy to go back to the dramatis personae like a print copy would. Hopefully it’ll get clearer soon!

this is why i love historical fiction. you can see tragedies coming very clearly, and despite knowing what’s about to happen, when characters believe that things will get better now, you feel like believing with them.
