what is it about new york that makes the ppl that live there think theyre unique enough to be separate from all other cultures in the world also this would benefit by having anyone else author this book

this is suffering so badly from a case of the author including every racist experience he ever had into the middle of this book to the point that the plot hasnt been seen in about 5 hours

characters are having a lengthy debate about whether women should be allowed to go to school and work. every couple chapters tolstoy is like “idk man. lets have a long conversation about some sort of topical issue. god i hate writing serials”

absolutely diabolical to record an audiobook with two main characters named vronsky and oblonsky

i think books should start coming with warnings like “explains basic tenents of feminism”

every woman sounds like a mans idea of what a woman would sound like. like a man but occasionally they say “i am a woman. i am powerful”

this is actually a beautiful example of how well meaning ppl who dont want to become their own parents are still terrible parents

extrmely irritated that the author equates moral ocd with narcissism. also not healed enough to write this memoir. at the very end the author casually mentions that she has a friend drive her past her old house to watch the end of her dads passover seder each year????? get help
