I’m trying to catch up to the current month, but it’s not a book I can read with distractions… or at night.

The library took it back before I got to finish 😭😭😭

I take it back. It just got good. 😭

This one is not keeping my interest, and I don’t know why. The ratings are so high! I’m ready to be done with the series so I can move on with my life. 😆

Yes, it goes on and on, my friends.

I’m trying, I really am, but I just met Cla and it’s time for the Fair One, and I just don’t care. 😭 I stopped caring about halfway through and thought I’d push on anyway, but I don’t know that I have 4 more hours to give.

I loved the first part, and now I’m slogging through this journey section. I barely finish a chapter before I fall asleep. 😭

I’ve been reading for hours, my eyes keep closing, but I don’t want to stop! 😭 Sleep is claiming me for tonight.

Three different simultaneous storylines in alternating chapters. Not my cup of tea right now.

I love this book so much. It is the balm I need right now. ❤️

I am fascinated by and enthralled with the social commentary. The dynamics between these women is riveting!

I’m sad I’m reading the print book instead of the ebook because there are already several passages that I want to highlight. Love it.

Nope. Not gonna. I’ve read the Hunger Games before. Don’t need another.

Soot again on page 3! Oof, it’s going to be a long book.

I’m going to read (skim) this book, and I will probably eventually like it some, but right now I’m annoyed at having read the word “soot” three times in two pages.

“Why didn’t anyone tell me that industrialization would look like biblical hell?” 😂

Ugh it was going so well! I was thinking what a great read aloud it would make, with qualities of working hard and dreaming big and saving money to make those dreams happen.

And then enters a stern look from the librarian. Not related to the dreams. Totally inconsequential, in fact. But yet another crabby librarian to reinforce and perpetuate an outdated stereotype. Yes, I’m a little sensitive to this, I know.
