Life is dynamic, stasis is reactionary. A great modern paradox is the idea that liberty means being free to remain stuck inside your most debilitating and harmful behaviors because anything else is taken as authoritarianism. The post religious truth is the drive to become sovereign over the domain of your own body. I take Rilke’s line to be akin to Lynch’s statement: Fix your heart or die.

Once again purely linguistic concerns take precedence as Platonic notions of Good and Evil permit leagues of spineless morons to bumble through one of the most baffling atrocities of all time and then point fingers after. Hanlon’s Razor wins again. Stop believing in evil and wake up to the reality of the listless idiot who is made to feel important because he gets to do what he is told to satisfy his duty to power.
