This book was pretty insufferable. I have zero patience for whiny people who act like the world is out to get them.

I tried REALLLLLLY hard to like this.
A nuclear blast- that unalived 30 million people…. But the husband is programming the so sons address in Google Maps. Give me a break. And the wife wants to leave her super remote cabin to get to a city, because she doesn’t want to try to survive? Massive eye roll.

TRIGGER WARNING: FAMILIAL SA!!
Seriously, if authors are going to put such sensitive topics in books, THERE NEEDS TO BE TRIGGER WARNINGS. That being said, the book was really good. Ends on a complete cliffhanger, as if the author is a screenwriter.

I think this book was a true gem. War is ugly, for everybody. It showed a real depiction of what the German people went through. It sheds light on the propaganda that had been spread throughout the country to poison the people against the Jewish community.

What a great insight into the Irish potato famine and the atrocities the Irish people faced. I love this book
