When you realize that all your material achievements are of value only in comparison with those who don’t have them, this is joy that springs from another’s deprivation. Can you really call this joy? Isn’t it actually a kind of sickness? It is time everyone addressed this. If you were alone on this planet, what would you want for yourself? Ask yourself this question and see where it takes you.

Arathi Baniya is finished with Inner Engineering: A Yogi's Guide to Joy
There was pain. Terrible, unbearable pain. But pain is a natural phenomenon, & it is good. Without it you wouldn’t know if your leg was chopped off. But suffering is another matter altogether. Pain is bad enough; why make it worse with suffering? Suffering is entirely self-created. And every human being has the choice: to suffer or not to suffer. It doesn’t take much intelligence to choose the latter.

Most people think peace and joy are the goals of the spiritual life. This is a fallacy.
Peace and joy are not things you attain at the end of life. They are the basis of your life. If you consider peace to be the ultimate goal, you will only “rest in peace”!

Let us start with a single question:what do we consider to be a state of well-being?
Very simply, well-being is just deep sense of pleasantness within. If your body feels pleasant,we call this health. If your mind becomes pleasant,we call this peace. If your emotions become pleasant,we call this love.If your life energies become pleasant,we call this bliss. This is all that you are seeking: pleasantness within & without.

POUT
~Sara Holbrook

No use
acting nice to me
when I’m stuck
in a pout.
I can’t let
your niceness in
until my madness
wears
out.

Written cutely 😄😍

FINAL THOUGHTS

3 Incomes In the world of accounting, there are three different types of income:
1. Ordinary earned
2. Portfolio
3. Passive
The key to financial freedom & great wealth is a person’s ability to convert earned income into passive/portfolio income.
“Ordinary earned income is money you work for, and passive and portfolio income is money working for you.”

If you cannot get control of yourself, do not try to get rich.

The three most important management skills necessary to start your own business are management of:
1. Cash flow
2. People
3. Personal time

4. Master a formula and then learn a new one: the power of learning quickly
Most of us have heard the saying, “U are what u eat.” I have a different slant. I say, “U become what U study.” In other words, be careful what u learn, because ur mind is so powerful that u become what u put in your head. For eg, if u study cooking, u then tend to cook. If u don’t wanna be a cook anymore, u need to study smth else

2. Make daily choices: the power of choice
Invest 1st in education. In reality, only real asset u have is your mind, most powerful tool we‘ve dominion over. Each of us has choice of what we put in our brain once we’re old enough. U can watch TV, read golf magazines, or go to ceramics class or class on financial planning. U choose. Most ppl simply buy investments rather than 1st investing in learning abt investing

A reason or purpose is combination of “wants” & “don’t wants.”
If they’re not strong enough, then reality of road ahead may be greater than ur reasons.I‘ve lost money & been set back many times, but it’s deep emotional reasons that kept me standing up & going forward.I wanted to be free by age 40,but it took me until I was 47
I’ve learned that, without strong reason or purpose, anything in life is hard.

Our lives are a reflection of our habits more than our education.

Overcoming Arrogance
What I know makes me money. What I don’t know loses me money. Every time I have been arrogant, I have lost money. Coz when I’m arrogant, I truly believe that what I dunno isn’t important

Overcoming Fear
Fear of losing money is real. Everyone has it. Even the rich. But it’s not having fear that is the problem. It’s how u handle fear. It’s how u handle losing. It’s how u handle failure that makes the difference in one’s life. Failure inspires winners. Failure defeats losers.

Overcoming Cynicism
Our doubts often paralyze us.

The primary difference between a rich person and a poor person is how they manage fear.

There are five main reasons why financially literate people may still not develop abundant asset columns that could produce a large cash flow.
The five reasons are:
1. Fear
2. Cynicism
3. Laziness
4. Bad habits

U see with ur mind what others miss with their eyes.

3. Organize smart people

Sometimes you win and sometimes you learn. Most people never win because they’re more afraid of losing. That is why I found school so silly. In school we learn that mistakes are bad, and we are punished for making them. Yet if you look at the way humans are designed to learn, we learn by making mistakes. We learn to walk by falling down. If we never fell down, we would never walk.
