Please keep your arms and hands inside the ride at all times kids!
Interesting and exciting plot and events, realistic characters that become friends who you care about, all wrapped up in an overall believable story. Just when you're rocking along at 90 mph, the track unexpectedly drops out from under you with another astonishing, jaw drop moment. This book keeps getting better and more impossibly better!!

Really digging this unique take on not your ordinary vampires! Interesting characters and plot, nice desert settings and locales, extraordinary yet ordinary and believable plot, have all so far proven to be a winning combination for a great book.

I figured out what was irritating me about this book. It's not the book itself so much, it's the person reading/narrating it and a couple of the voices she's using for some of the female characters, namely the daughter and schoolmates of the mother. It's grating and annoying enough to actually take away from the plot and overall enjoyment of those scenes.
The writing is fine and the plot is good.

I was stoked to read this one! Only 30 pages in, but off to a good start. Excited for where it might go. It's a unique storyline with a good variety of characters, so far at least.

I guess I'm getting salty in my old age, but this book seems like it has extra romance and unnecessary stuff in it.
I'm like, "Get on with the murders and suspense already!" Lol

(My library hold finally came in so I had to bump this one to the front of the line.
I'm so glad I did).
After reading a friend's review of this book, I just had to read it.
Thank you Noah!! 🙂

So far it's incredible, and only picking up steam. Even though I'm only 1/2 way through, I'd go as far as to give it 5 stars at this point. I think it's going to be in my top reads for the year.

It's been a little slow and my mind is prone to wander at this point.
The FMC is really getting on my nerves, lol. I just want to yell, "Stop it lady! Lighten up! Nobody likes you at this point, not even your kids!"
Hopefully she'll improve before long.
At this point, it's kind of a slog with too many unnecessary details.
It's a good thing it's an audiobook. Otherwise, I might have given up already.

Sorry guys, this one is taking me awhile. However, this is not a bad thing. I'm enjoying every minute of it.
There's so much here and it's fascinating.

It's not a book to rush through, but it's written well enough to do exactly that. I find myself hitting the brakes and backing up again to not miss important points.
So far, this is a 5 star read, and I don't think it's going to change.

I'm really enjoying the way author David Connor writes. He developed "a voice" within the first few chapters of this book, and it's addictive. Love the storyline he's developed too. Easily on track to be a five star read.
