this book captured me in the first 150 pages, the writing and dialogue so easy, revealing, so embarrassing and true. But around the time of the hospital hold-up grew weary of constant parade of cameo characters dropping in for a chapter or two. The tale is a great one for us aging folk - if you have the stomach for it.
