Pretty close to DNF this book. Appreciate the historical context, and the contribution to the genre...it's just not my style

So far: dogs rule, men are mostly violent or have violent pasts, and women are either [hand]cannon fodder or particularly pitiable creature.

I'm not sure if this is going to be a finisher, but if it is I have my doubts for how much I'll like it

I'm so glad this isn't a novelization. I recognize many places, people names from other books (novelization), but it's so worth reading this biography of sorts. Lest we forget.

Determined to finish it, but holy crap I don't know what to think of it.

This is such a slog to read through, and it's not even my first Stephen King rodeo
