I love the way that Catton writes people. Her observations are so cutting and precise, they put into words feelings and thoughts you never realized you’d felt or come across. But I couldn’t continue with this book. I just didn’t care at all about the stakes and the characters and the plot. I liked all the people, except obviously the billionaire, but I didn’t care about any of it.

I'm trying so hard to like this book and to be involved but I'm so bored/uninterested.

Amazing. I dread and adore turning to the next page. The writing is a masterpiece & Shahrzad has my heart.
