This was so close to being a two-star book but the ending made it a three-star read. I wish that the whole book was like the end, it would have been so much better. This was my first buddy read with my IG buddy <3 and I loved it. I cant wait or more buddie reads

I’m still slowly trudging through this book. It’s rough lol. This probably will be my least favorite books my King. It’s fairly boring in some places.

I was super excited for reading this bc it was my first buddy read but my buddy and I both kinda decided this was sort of a flop. It gives me some of those creepy vibes I like but it’s not quite keep me up at night creepy which is what I was hoping for.

It’s really something fishy going on. I feel like there is a lot that people aren’t telling her. I also do get why she wants to hide her amnesia…

Enjoying it so far. I like the relationship that Dani and Carmen are developing. Also, Mateo is a gigantic creep.

He literally stands for a lot of what I hate bout our world now.

Two of the POV's have finally reached the same time period. I have my hutches. Her (Lula) BF gave me off vibes when he begged her back into a relationship after she made it clear she didn't want one. I genuinely don't like him at all.. he should have left her the hell alone.

I like the premise of it but most of the characters annoy me. I don't think it's right for me. This book feels really wordy and vague sometimes which caused me to reread scenes because I felt like I missed the importance of it when I first read it. This is a book for a person who is far more philosophical than I am. They discuss time, space, and to what extent science and magic relate.

This has been going well so far. When I originally added the book to my TBR I was expecting more from it. I was expecting something more creepy, probably from the criminals' point of view or a victim but this plays out in an interview with a surviving victim. The victim they're interviewing is clearly playing games but what we don't know is why. It's not bad but I'm definitely hoping it will get better quickly.

I have annotated this book so much already lol. Mostly, with cursing and commentary. I love different things about each of the sisters. I was pulling for Jules and Joseph but.... he's a shithead that should be beaten. There are still A LOT of questions I have that I'm sure won't all be answered because there are like 4/5 other books. Needless to say, I'm pretty invested in this series already.

But this book is good as hell!

I love that it sounds ( reads) like spoken word. This is a really great audiobook. It’s beautiful, poetic, captivating. I love it.
