if the phrase "love is a religion" was a book, this would be it. A sixteen year old boy caught between a forty something year old man and a twenty something soldier. I never knew I could root for something this disturbing.

I don't know if I am reading too much into it, but I can actually feel the judgement dripping off the words. The obnoxious snobbery of the narrator is so fucking evident. how did the author even manage to do that? I am blown away honestly.

I don't think I have ever been this grateful to be born in this century. I genuinely would not have survived.

why is he being so unnecessarily mean? is this the first ali hazelwood book I will end up hating? I hate even entertaining that thought. I was imagining some obsessed can't hold back shaking hands romance not crude words and patronizing and a sort of bullying lady's guy? ugh.
