oh my. Rory. BARTHOLOMEW. his exit almost pushed me to tears and I haven't cried over a book since if he had been with me. if I was alone in my room I might have cried.

Rory is down bad for sybil. speaking of which, when will she tell her name? - her eyes too when will we know she has stone eyes and im dying to know if she too will turn to stone. also it seems like stone is apart of the omens, if so, are the diviners being trained to be omens as well? its obvious that 6 was being set up to be the next moth, but why wld the abbess do that if she is immortal

the gargoyle is my favorite character he's hilarious. also Rory is climbing my list. so fast. loving it. ALSO my prediction is that sybil is an omen for the moth, and when it comes time to take the moth omen, Rory discovers it her then doesn't complete the mission to save her since he is killing all of the omens for benji and he and benji end the book on bad terms, seems like a cheap shot but that's my prediction.

really enjoying this - also wanted to note the themes im seeing with nature and water. the abbey is water, however it circulates only within the building keeping them on a track. outside it nature and freedom where it grows

if forget what page, but I read the iconic "what ever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same" line but it was while I was listening. Idk I feel like I missed out on not physically reading the line but I am glad to have joined the community that has consumed it.

there is a severe lack of explanation in this book. half of the time im like "how did he get there?" or "when did she discover this?". if this book wasn't so short, and I didn't hate doing this, id dnf. strange

the brand name drops r so unnecessary. not like magnolia parks very unnatural. also I cant tell if the audiobook is ruining this or if this book is just bad

this is an odd book... I felt I needed a fantasy break so here we are. it's labeled as the same vibes as the next two books I want to read, so I thought this would be a good break/segway. but this is an odd book
