IT LURKS by Zelda Zito is a story about two kids that are trick-or-treating when one sees something in the distance. This story was short had a confusing metaphor right at the start. Too many words used to convey simple things, made the story hard to read. The end just okay, the set up for it was weak. 1

SCARE OF A LIFETIME by Joseph Buckley is a solid horror that works on a couple of levels. I loved the writing it had great descriptions. This story is about a man that throws himself into Halloween as a way to remember his spouse who passed. He's looking for something scary and he finds it. The story, the scary part and the humor work all work great together. 4.5

THE TRAP DOOR by Skylar Crowter is a story about two girls celebrating their last Halloween. This is a well told story, creepy vibes. Good tension throughout, and good descriptions as the terror is slowly revealed. The last line is perfect as it connects the last Halloween to others. I wanted a little more originality but still good told story. 4

THE TRAP DOOR Skylar Crowter is all about two girls celebrating their last socially acceptable Halloween. The girls have a tradition where they start at a scary looking home at the end of the street. This story is creep with a haunting dread. There's a tension you can feel that made

DO YOU KNOW THE BUNNY MAN? By Angela Sylvaine I a story that is nothing special. Kids go trick or treating there's a candy dish that says only take 2 or the Bunnyman will get you, on girl does and he's after her. Predicable story. Nothing clever. 1.5

The story of the disastrous Emmy's and everything that got cut out was doomed from the start.

The tomatoes story had a pretty funny ending.

His fake loathe for Aidy Bryant was funny, it was a good fake rant.

WWE experience was okay, not enough was said about the event or experience.

The story about how he got update permanently was great and stressful.

The story about his mom on 9/11 as a firefighter was an incredible story.

I have the same speech impediment where I say um a lot waiting for my brain to catch up with my words. I get phone anxiety and have to prepare what I'm going to say, to not get tripped up.

The multiple pooping his pants stories are pretty great the one on the golf course is worth the price of the book. I had tears in my eyes reading it.

A FRUITING BODY is a poem meant to be read out loud. It is about a famous fungus that is being studied, with some people killing themselves after studying. I did not like this at all, but that is okay. Nat did warn that this won't be for everyone, but it was all Cassidy with some awkward humor. 1

MEET-CUTE #2: THE SCARIEST THING is a first date with a confession. It is about the scariest moment of letting your guard down. I thought it was okay. The dude is weird. I liked some of the banter, Cassidy is good at dialogue. 2.5

INTO THE LIFE OF THINGS is a story of a woman found dead at a mental institution. She does in a weird way, on her back looking at the stars. The book flashes back to a yoga retreat in the desert. Not every works in this story, the ending I liked but I don't know if it makes sense. 4

COME is about a cursed sex tape at a high school. Cassidy nails the teen speak. The story was good as it blends The Ring with It Follows. I enjoyed the ending. I like that the story at it's core is the pressure and the insecurity put on teens about sex. 5

JUBILEE JUNCTURE is about a puppeteer that has a new act for his Christian childrens show. He's putting a private show for his friend the station manager. This story gets creepy fast. The descriptions were making me squirm a bit. The imagery was great. 4.2

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE is an interesting time travel story. It features a cover band artist who goes back in time, stealing songs to play as his own. I liked parts. The story was a tad to long. The ending was just okay. This story is for the music fans. 3.6

LAUGHLINES is a horror told through text and emails. I enjoyed this one it is a slow build, but a good creepy finish. I'm usually not a fan of this medium but the talk to text really worked. 4

THE LUNAR ECLIPSE is a slow burn short story that is all about the set up. I did love the ending, it was just a joke. For some reason this story took a while to grab me, and this is the shortest story so far. 3.1

THE ART OF WHAT YOU WANT reminded me of the plot of Vertigo, which is a business deal involving a dead wife, which is the plot of this story. I liked the haunting aspect of the plot, and the turn that the story takes. I feel though we have to get told what happens instead of see it. I want to see more of the story then get told after fact. 3.2

NICE is a humorous horror about an elf that ask a Santa loving boy to stop being nice, so he doesn't have to make so many presents. This story was dark but in a funny way. It reminded me of a Brian McAuley short story. This story worked very well, I loved the character reveals. 4.5

GENERATION is a story about life and the horrors it contains. This story changed my perception of what it was. It stars out where you are thinking the worst, then you learn more and more. The story was a little too vague. Cassidy wants the reader to create the horror in their mind. It was too vague for me I needed more guidance to create the horror. 2.5

MEET-CUTE #1: THE UNLUCKIEST GIRL is a good story. I figured out the twist. The story has very fun banter. The story does have the name of the the collection I know a place. The title is appropriate. Good character work. 3.2 stars.

Rest Stop is a crazy story. One man trapped at a rest stop. This story is unhinged in the best ways. It is funny and creepy at the same time. The villain is sick and twisted. The images Cassidy created will stick in my head forever. A great novella with twists and turns and a satisfying ending.
