Btw, Embassy Of The Dead is excellent, thoroughly enjoying reading it to Tiny (8yo, nearly 9). It's so refreshing to see really good descriptive writing for children.

Read the first couple of stories years ago and finally going back to it.

Re-reading before getting stuck into Red Side Story, which Laura just got me for Valentine's.

Abandoning this one very quickly. Dahl-style LOOK HOW UGLY AND FAT THIS UNPLEASANT CHARACTER IS almost immediately. *sigh*

As today I've entered The Year Of The Hoopy Frood Who Really Knows Where His Towel Is, I'm having a re-read, before I have a go at Eoin Colfer's part 6.

Ever punctual to the party, I'm finally starting to read this book about television from 2005, having picked it up in a charity shop provably about 3 years ago. I used to read Brooker's Guardian Guide column this is largely edited from, and thoroughly enjoyed it at the time.

The foreword is by someone we won't mention. Not sure why he's listed as a co-author here... o_O
