I am completely hooked and simultaneously dislike this book at the same time and I can’t pinpoint any specific reasons for either

Color me curious! Tension and a mystery that spans generations!

In the final stretch!! But I don’t want it to be over!!

Some plot lines slower while throwing in some faster paced ones. The previous books set up character development that you are just enjoying the ride !

Petition to have all series authors put a recap at the beginning of their books.

I love Demi’s writing. She makes the story flow so well with all sorts of interactions. Peppering in different POVs as I become invested in the character is allowing me to stay giddily engaged with such a long series.

I can already sniff this is going to be at least 4 stars from the get go

I’m really not enthused about the portrayal of postpartum OCD in the story so far.

Also - no good husband if his wife is struggling mentally with severe post partum ocd would just be going to work. Something is fishy here

This story is compelling and Nina’s toxic personally and gaslighting is entertaining to read.

Wow this book is sooo good!! Political intrigue, heist, mini quests, court society, witty banter, cool magic system!

Really cool magic system!! Throws you right into it but still able to follow along. I love me a good “planned heist” plot!

Idk if I would like this style of a book to read but the audio is a 10/10 and makes this whole experience!!

I know nothing about this band or its history. Intrigued to see if I will enjoy this book as much as the world has. I like the unique style it’s written in. The audiobook is all well done accompaniment.

Not usually a fan of ghost romance because the HEA part of the magical realism seems to push my boundaries. But I LOVED first time caller earlier this year so I am giving it a chance! This is also putting me in the holiday spirit!!
