I'd like to thank Nicole Patterson for her encouragement to keep going - I can confidently say that I'm starting to enjoy this book now.

You guys I don’t know how people read Russian literature, I feel like I’ve been reading this forever and I have so much left to go😭

Really getting sick of reading the words “birthing person”, “they” in place of “her”, and “chest feeding” but also feeling so informed.

Someone please tell me why I had to read about the implications of the church becoming state or state becoming church for 6 pages? I am fascinated by the elder but there’s just so many words and Russian names to keep straight😭

I don’t care if it takes me all year, this is the year that I finally read Brothers K.

As soon as I saw the phrase “chest-feeding”, I knew I was in for a wild ride.. super woke language (“birthing person”) but very informative at the same time.

This is what happens when one of my friends finally says I can be at the birth of their next child.. I’m all in down the doula rabbit hole, next stop: Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth. Wild thing for me to put out for the world to see, but every book counts towards my reading goal.
