Nothing happened for the first 40 or so hours of this 49 hour audiobook.

Finally, finally things have started to happen. I’m starting to understand why he hasn’t finished the series; he didn’t seem to know quite what to do with this one either.

I’ve been listening to this audiobook for 18 hours, and I still have 30 left…. So far it’s interesting but not exciting. Happy to have more Tyrion and Jon chapters though; their exclusion from AFFC was noticeable.

Preyah is 50% done with The Handmaid’s Tale (The Handmaid's Tale, #1)

Really slogging through this one because of the author’s writing style. I find myself having to reread sentences often for comprehension. And once I comprehend what’s been said, I’m still not very impressed.

Perhaps it’s intentional to show what a traumatized, repressed, tortured being Offred is?

The concept of the book is legendarily interesting, which is why I’m pushing through…..
