Thus far, the book comes across less about Thomas Cromwell, the man, and more about the history of the Christian Reformation movement in England and in the rest of Europe, with Cromwell, in essence, paving the way for the future Church of England. Not really what I was expecting, but so far, the events chronicled here matches the events portrayed in the Wolf Hall trilogy.
