There's an ethical chord being played throughout what I've read so far that has reminded me why this era of science fiction is my favorite. It isn't preachy, it isn't "Sci-Fi" - it's just real. It's human.

Flying by

Started it, but after two Indy books in the same week I think I should space them out a bit. There are only so many and I want to enjoy them!

Just what I was looking for - truly entertaining

Not sure what exactly where this one is headed. Some echoes of the last story with the intrigue of the Merlin myth. Some prior reading about St Ninian helped to provide some context.

Here I am, plowing through the backlog. Saw a discussion with the author last year and bought it in an instant, then promptly forgot about it. Enjoying the history lesson so far, but I feel I need to keep a window open for photo references of the churches that are mentioned. Might be a slow read if I do it right…

Interesting, complex characters. Enjoyed the issue that focused on the news stand owner.

Just finished chapter 16. Oof.

2024 - Taking it slow, making notes in the margins.

Managed to live free from spoilers until about two weeks ago. Now that it's been spoiled I might as well read it. Hoping, rather naively, that the spoiler was but a lie designed to capture my attention.

Reading this little by little at night. Craig's writing is just as quality as his comedy. Really enjoying it so far.

Picked this up yesterday. When I grab complex looking book I’m always eager to find out if I’ll understand any of it. I’ll let you know.

Sometimes I just have trouble adapting a book into a brain movie. Such was the case with Mistborn. I had previously read a bit over a hundred pages and put it down, always meaning to get back to it.

Well...I got back to it!
Apparently time was all I needed to find myself truly captivated by this world and it’s characters. Nothing has pulled me into another world like this since Harry Potter.

Glad I came back.

Very interesting so far. Haven’t spent as much time as I’d like with this book. I’m excited to get back to it.

I was reading this right before the pandemic began and apparently put it down. I found it again on one of my bookshelves last night and picked it back up. Nearly done and I'm really enjoying it. Some chapters resonate more than others. The back and forth correspondence is interesting. I must mention that this is the first thing I've truly read from Lewis. Tried to get into Narnia once, but it wasn't for me.

Really enjoying this one.

Only finishing this book because it's a buddy read. Predictable and stiffly formulaic.
