This book is making me see Hazarika as a human first, and only then as “the bard.” Growing up, we tend to place artists on a pedestal, viewing them as almost sacred, incapable of flaws. Seeing Hazarika in this light feels strangely unfamiliar. Some paragraphs have even left me in utter disbelief. Let’s see how the rest of the book unfolds.
