James Tomasino is starting A Heart Divided (Legends of the Condor Heroes, #4)
Finally doing part 4 of the Legends of the Condor Hero. I have had a string of bad books lately, so I need a palette cleanser. I know this will be excellent.

Oh wow, this is pretty bad at info-dumping. I'm in for a whole lot of tell not show. I hope the action gets going soon or I'm going to pull the rip cord.

Already way better than the show, and the show wasn't half bad.

Holy moly is this bad! Hahaha. All the extra crap that was edited out of A New Hope (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFMyM...) was kept in for this audio drama. I thought the huge amount of unnecessary exposition and boring scenes from the start was the worst, but then I got to the Vader/Leia hypnosis interrogation. Wow. Hilariously bad.

I swear this book or one exactly like it came out in the 60s or 70s. There was the late 80s film, The Pagemaster, which was also based on a book. Now I can find no evidence and that films wiki page claims it wasn't based on a book. This is more Berenstain Bears nonsense.

Haven't read this since high school. Time for a refresher. Looks like there's an updated edition too.

I'm excited! I'm going to read the Chronicles to my son as our bedtime reading. I hope he enjoys them as much as I did.

James Tomasino is starting Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs: JavaScript Edition (MIT Electrical Engineering and Computer Science)
I just picked up this new Javascript Edition and I'm so excited. I've never had the opportunity to work through SICP before, and to do so in the (frustrating) language of my everyday work is really thrilling. As much as I appreciate Scheme and LISP, working in JavaScript is going to let me offload the overhead of syntax changes and focus all my energy on the lessons and philosophies.

This is absolutely incredible. I can't wait to finish this to share it with friends. I can't believe I stumbled on it as a free giveaway at the library. It's so relevant and packed full of information on how everything got to this point.
