According to Plato, the human body consists of three parts, the head ( which aspires reason and reason leads to wisdom), the chest (aspires to will that leads to courage) and the third one is abdomen ( which has appetite that leads to temperance). Only when the three parts of the body function together as a unity then we get a virtuous individual.
